The Challenge

Loop is the one app for all occasions when friends and money mix, making money sharing easy.

For their app launch, they sought help to develop a test campaign to demonstrate product-market fit and secure investment, all within a limited budget and timeframe.

The Solution

We reviewed each of Loop’s four potential target audiences and decided to go with students and people living in house shares because of their high online presence across multiple channels. 

After extensive research, we identified the areas with the largest concentration of students by looking at UK universities and checking the student population density. We launched geographically restricted campaigns in Greater Manchester, Liverpool and Bristol, and our creative team produced Meta, Google UAC, Snapchat and TikTok ads.

Lastly, we optimised the app store page by making the description concise and adding relevant keywords and high-quality screenshots to boost on-page conversion rates. 

The Result

Loop app had 4134 app installs in three months.

Starting with an initial Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) of £20.66, we achieved a consistent reduction, concluding the campaign with a CAC below £12—a notable 40% decrease.

In 2023, Loop Money was acquired by the challenger bank Tandem, opening the door to better opportunities.
